Example Timelines
As wedding videographers, we have found that a well-planned timeline makes all the difference!!
It allows your day to be beautifully stress-free and the only thing on your mind is the fun and excitement!
Below are two example timelines, one for a Traditional Look and the other for a First Look.
These may help to understand what makes up a timeline and to help see how your wedding day might flow.
The below are two example Timelines from a videographer:
Traditional Look
This is where the bride and groom first see each other at the Ceremony - while the bride walks down the aisle.
Timeline:

7:30 am
Hair and make up start for bridesmaids/bride/MOB
Bridesmaids hair starts @ 8:00 am, then makeup starts @ 10:45 am (1 hr/person)

9:30 am
Groomsmen get ready
Photographer and Videographer arrive at boys

10:45 am
Brides makeup starts

11:00 am
Photographer and Videographer arrive at Brides

11:30 am
Brides hair starts

12:30 pm
Brides hair finishes
(i.e. 1.0 hr - 1.5 hr before Bride's set time to leave the house and go to venue)
This is a super important timing - to keep the fun vibe going : )

Bride and bridesmaids get into dresses

First Look with Bride and FOB (father of bride)
Bridal Party photos

Groom leaves to venue

Groom and Groomsman arrive at venue to greet guests

Bride and Bridesmaids leave for venue

MC ushers guests to seats

Brides arrives at venue / ceremony location
Grooms song played to let groomsmen & guests know bride has arrived and to move to position.
Ceremony starts

Guests congratulate newlyweds + drinks and mingling

2:50 pm
Group photo followed by family photos (allow ~3 min./photo)

Wedding party leave for photos.
Guests walk to reception for drinks and canapes

Bridal party return to mix and mingle

Usher everyone to seats

MC say the housekeeping
(rules & lets guests know the order / timeline of the night).

MC introduces wedding party

Speeches:
Father of Bride speech - 5 minutes; then
Father of Groom speech - 5 minutes.

First Look
This is where the bride and groom first see each other before the Ceremony - at a set location that typically only viewed by the Wedding Party.
